Initial quotations have now arrived to move this wall back by around 11 feet and create FOUR “layby”” style extra parking spaces.
We are contacting the company that installed an EV (electric vehicle) Charging Point into one of our other sites to see if such a facility might be desirable at Sannox? Especially with our neighbours and the local community, several of whom have mentioned their wish to buy an electric vehicle, but worry about there being an insufficient number of Charging Points on the island.
We have NOT been required to add more parking to the hotel. However when we have renovated other closed-down shops and other shut-hotels + defunct-pubs, when we add extra parking, this can dramatically increase business. Our own studies have shown between an 8% to a 31% increase in turnover at the related business depending on location.
That can mean the difference between a business being viable or not, depending on the location.
