In developing this site at Balado, the owners have experience in these types of project. It is wise to have some form of building close to the entrance to the site where a CCTV system and if necessary a security presence can be accommodated.
Historically this was the building onsite known as the Guardhouse. However, if the exciting Aero Space Kinross visitor centre goes ahead, then the charity may need to purchase the old guardhouse, depending upon their needs.
Hence the retention of some form of oversight building. The one that appeals and is in reasonable keeping with the proposed vernacular is similar to a genre we have frequently featured in our sister publication, Unique Property Bulletin.
