Tod Head Lighthouse Station Flat-1 ~ Water Event
On 18th April, 2024 neighbour from Flat-3, Russ McLean assisted the surveyor in answering some brief questions in and about Flat-1. On that day, 18th April 2024, Russ also took some reference photographs in relation to the external balcony repair work at the FRONT of the building that is required to stop ingress of water into Flat-1.

Mr Forrest Hamilton Timber & Mould Specialist
Inspection Date (21-5-24): Mr Forrest telephoned Russ McLean, care of neighbour Rohan Beyts Lighthouse Tower House at 10.41am on Tuesday 21st May 2024 to report that there had been a leak/water overflow from a fast running tap at Flat-1.

This water over-flow came as a surprise for Russ McLean as all the water systems in the flats and buildings at the rest of Tod Head Lighthouse Station were switched off and systems drained. Indeed, Russ had been awaiting for access to Flat-1 (currently owned by Mr Galloway) as he (Russ) did not want a plumber turning on the water for the entire lighthouse station just in case a tap had been left switched on somewhere by accident.

This is unfortunate and ironic. Obviously unfortunatele given damage in Flat-1. Though the kitchen has done well, having been installed in 1988 and given 36 years of service. For sure in the rest of the property at the other flats and buildings owned and looked after by Mr McLean will have the kitchens replaced and new plumbing; plus other systems such as the electrical supply infrastructure removed and an entirely new electrical system up to modern day Building Regulations shall be installed.
